Learning from others

We facilitate easy and secure access to external knowledge by projects as it is needed, by establishing inter-project knowledge sharing networks.

Co.Cre8 developed, for HS2, a structured approach to knowledge sharing with other major projects called knowledge sharing agreements. These enable safe and secure knowledge sharing by HS2's project teams with other Major Projects.  This is in the process of being rolled out.

We enable projects to capture, publish and disseminate their good practice and learning as part of the continuous learning cycle in industry.

Collation and dissemination of learning, good practice and innovation from major projects aimed at raising the bar in industry and showcasing UK PLC

We establish learning legacy frameworks on major projects to:

•       Capture, review and editing of content for external publication

•       Organise and manage content

•       Publish content on the project website, in industry journals and APIs with third party hubs

•       Disseminate knowledge through partnership with industry bodies and academia

Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal

Role

Co.Cre8 developed and embedded an innovative approach to learning and innovation on the Houses of Parliament Restoration and Renewal programme bringing together Continuous Learning, Innovation, process Improvement and Knowledge management programme under one functional umbrella (branded CLIIK) ensuring a learning culture right from the start.

HS2

Role

Jo Lucas joined Phase 2a of HS2 Ltd, as an independent consultant just after the Route Announcement (SOBC). She led the technical interface to develop the Hybrid Bill ready for deposit (OBC) until handing over to the bill team, mitigating a 17 week delay in the process delivering the Bill to the ambitious original deposit date.

Crossrail

Role

Karen Elson set up the Crossrail Learning Legacy to share knowledge and insight, through means such as case studies and technical papers providing lessons, good practice and recommendations to help others. Documents and templates that have been used successfully on the Crossrail programme can be ‘pinched with pride’ by other projects. The Learning Legacy also showcases the experts behind the delivery of Crossrail.
